Frowned Upon Media, in association with Walk in the Park Pictures, will be screening the short film Eat Me! at the 2012 Cape Fear Independent Film Festival! Dan has been hired as the Screenwriter for a film based on the true-life story of Susie, a puppy who was horribly abused and burned that went on to inspire a change in NC's animal cruelty laws. Banks of the Vltava was awarded "Best Director of Photography" at the 2011 Terror Film Festival! Congratulations to Director of Photography Matthew Mandarano! The film was nominated for four awards, including Best Horror Short Film, Best Special Effects and Best Actor. In celebration, Walk in the Park announces the following chance for our fans to get a FREE copy of Banks of the Vltava. Banks of the VLtava thrilled audiences at the Terror Film Festival on Friday night, where the film has been nominated for FOUR awards: Best Actor (Rami Rothstein), Best Special Effects, Best Director of Photography and Best Short Horror Film! We appreciate the tremendous response. Award winners will be announced on Saturday night. Then, Banks of the Vltava goes on to show at the Buffalo Screams Film Festival on Sunday, where it has been nominated for Best Makeup Special Effects. Unfortunately, due to the snow-storm, the filmmakers will be unable to attend in Buffalo. Nonetheless, we have enjoyed our excursion to the North, and we are honored to be featured at these great festivals! Firstly, congratulations to Gretchen Adams, who has been nominated for "Best Makeup Special Effects" at the Buffalo Screams Film Festival! We are honored to have the film showing in Buffalo, but now we're doubly honored to have the outstanding work of our makeup effects team recognized. In further news: The short film BEYOND THE DOOR, directed by Matthew Mandarano, and co-produced by WitP, will be showing at the Corpsedance International Horror Film Festival October 22nd. Walk in the Park continues to make Halloween spooky across the East Coast, as the short film Banks of the Vltava is an official selection at the Buffalo Screams! Film Festival. The film will show at 12:30 pm on Sunday, October 30th. WitP Creative Director Dan A. R. Kelly plans to attend both the Buffalo screening and the showing on October 28th at the Terror Film Festival. October is an exciting month for Walk in the Park! Tonight, we screened the film "Beyond the Door" at the Triad Indie Film Network, and we appreciate the support of this great regional resource. We look forward to showing the film "Banks of the Vlatva" later this month at Cinema Pub in Winston-Salem, followed by a Halloween weekend showing at the Terror Film Festival (where we've been nominated for four awards).
