Dig in! 08/04/2011

Walk in the Park directors Dan A. R. Kelly & Matthew Mandarano worked with a new team for this year's Greensboro 48 Hour Film Project:  Frowned Upon Media.  The film, entitled "Eat Me!" took the Best Writing Award and received great responses from audiences.  We hope you'll check the film out by clicking the link below!

We'd like to thank the members of Frowned Upon Media for an awesome experience, especially Producer Patric Griffin, Editor Brian Higgins and Sound Designer/Composer Jon Fredette.  The camaraderie found within this team was exceptional.  It was truly one of the most pleasant film-making collaborations we've had!  Our gratitude also goes out to our fabulous cast members (and their parents), who loaned us their time and talents:  Bill Davis, Rachel Brittain, Karen Price-Crowder, Lee Armstrong, Edwin Wilson and Annabell Simpson.

We appreciate everyone's continued support!

Walk in the Park Pictures announces the completion of the short film BANKS OF THE VLTAVA.  The film will be screened for cast, crew and friends of the production on March 6th at A/perture Cinema in Winston-Salem.

Thanks to the dedicated cast, crew and supporters, Walk in the Park was able to finance and shoot the film in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina.  Shooting started in the fall of 2008, and the production shot for 20 days over the course of a year, wrapping in 2009.  Editing and digital effects have been underway since mid-2010.  Walk in the Park is proud to share the film with the many people who helped make it possible.

BANKS OF THE VLTAVA will play on the film festival circuit for the next year before its DVD release in 2012.  The 20-minute short was conceived with a full-length story in mind, and it will be used to pitch the feature film to producers and financiers.

ABOUT THE FILM:

And God said, “Let us make Man in Our image.”

Based on folklore, this Holocaust-period film tells the legend of a group of Czechoslovakian Jews who use ancient mysticism to rise up against the Nazis.

Walk in the Park Pictures thanks the many actors and crew members who helped bring the film to life.
